Outside: the porch & backyard

Above: holy cow, what a task it was to get this porch in shape. It's all of wood, with sliding 12-paned windows as big as garage doors. There were rats nests under the first floor, rotting joists, rotting floors. More photos follow.

Below: The backyard was riddled with rat holes. We couldn't get rid of the rats until we had a brick wall built between us and the ratty neighbor's yard. More about the yard follows.
