How-to Videos!
Jill and I are trying to video all the basics of rehab work. We're happy to see that our most popular how-tos so far have received more than 80,000 hits. So it seems there's a need for these things.
If you have a particular how-to you'd like to see us make, let us know. We have quite a few slated but it takes a while to make them.
Please note that we are not licensed professionals. We offer you free advice based on our experience and our best research. But you have to be mindful of construction and safety codes. You can find free code and safety manuals on the internet. That said, here are two of our most popular videos, with links to more below.

Next: how to re-wire an old lamp. You may have seen these old floor lamps with their huge "mogul" style bulbs. They're elegantly styled and put off a nice light. Jill and I love them -- and they're easy to re-wire.
Below: "How to Sand and Save a Wood Floor" is our most popular video so far -- probably because it answers a question many of us old-home owners have asked, "Can we save our messed-up wood floors without hiring a pro or renting scary, expensive equipment?" Yes, we can. It just takes a little time and care.
The video below shows you how Jill and I take on paint stripping. We have discovered three key steps to successful refinishing, which we review here. We plan on making one or two more videos on painting, stripping, and refinishing.
